(ACCESS) PR and Communications Work Sample
Thexton PR works with with Greater Vancouver based nonprofit organization, ACCESS, one of the most comprehensive urban Indigenous training providers in Canada. During the first three months of collaboration, Thexton PR provided a media training session for the organization’s leadership team, prepared media materials such as key messaging and a detailed PR strategy and began to execute outreach to media and digital leaders. While incorporating PR, the primary goal is building profile for the extensive, and vital, programming and services that ACCESS delivers.
During the first part of the campaign, Thexton PR worked with the client to generate twelve media profile features. A sample of this coverage includes:
- Coverage for ACCESS programming on BC’s top TV news, Global News BC.
- Securing an opinion piece in Glacier Media, authored by CEO Lynn White, on creating a healthy work environment for Indigenous talent, which ran in Business in Vancouver, Western Investor, and other community news and digital publications.
- A feature in HR Reporter on how training can help Indigenous youth to pursue successful careers.
- A feature story in Surrey Now, and several other Black Press Media publications, about a new makeup artistry training program the organization launched this year.
- An upcoming feature in a prominent daily newspaper about one of the organization’s youth programs.
Thexton PR looks forward to continued success while collaborating with this Indigenous led organization, while helping the client with telling their stories and sharing more about the work they do to support Greater Vancouver’s Urban Indigenous community.
